OUR PROCESS

PHASE 1

Concept & ideas

Our initial meeting with you is all about exploring ideas and getting to know each other to find out what you are looking for. We listen, take notes, and offer advice to get the most out of your space. It’s the start of pinning down what your project will look like, so we’ll ask lots of questions. Tell us about your timescale and budget, too, and we’ll draw up a fee proposal for you to consider.

PHASE 2

Fine tuning

We take all the information from the first meeting and work with you to create a detailed brief and wish list. From there, we create mood boards, make personalised recommendations and present preliminary concepts and drawings to you. We’ll discuss any third-party contractors your project might need. We will then pinpoint any revisions and amendments and make them, before signing-off this concept stage and moving forward into design development.

PHASE 3

Putting plans in place

This is the Design Development phase, when we create detailed designs and computer aided designs (CAD) of proposed layouts – which help you visualise your project. If necessary, plans may include information for lighting, power outlets, ceiling and floor finishes, room layouts, bathroom and kitchen design, window details and bespoke joinery. We’ll present our full specifications, costing, schedules and drawings for your approval.

PHASE 4

Moving and shaking

This is the construction stage. It starts once final designs are approved. We’ll help appoint the best contractors, and make any minor adjustments to our estimations if necessary. We prepare itemised schedules for all areas of the project, which include cost and lead times so everything is ordered and delivered to site at the right time. We regularly monitor progress, ensuring things are on schedule, and do regular site visits with you to make sure everyone is happy.

PHASE 5

Completion

Once the project is complete, should there be any minor changes required we will work alongside the contractor to rectify them. When you are happy with the work, we will do a final walk through and ensure all the quality checks meet our quality controls. We’ll supply any maintenance documents, warranties and care instructions relating to the FF&E (fixtures, fittings & equipment).
